According to Kate Kerdi, who revealed the worst trends, they’re not only outdated but never looked that good anyway.
If you still have any of these outdated trends in your home, it might be time to consider a re-vamp.

Linoleum floors
They might be cheap and practical but the truth is they never look as good as real wood flooring or tiles.

If you can’t bare to part with your lino, make sure you opt for something that looks as real as possible.
Shag carpeting
It might’ve been cool forty years ago, but this trend has been out for long enough for you to know better.
Not only are they a paint to clean but shag carpets will instantly date your home.
Vertical blinds
Just because you have them doesn’t mean you have to keep them.
They’re the default for a lot of homeowners but only look ok in an office building, not a family living room.
Popcorn ceiling
If you have popcorn ceilings in your home, you probably hate it as much as the interior designer does anyway.
The trend took the nation by storm in the 60’s and 70’s and loads of homes are still dealing with the ugly concsequenses.
Animal print
A small amount of animal print can look chic, if you do it right, but animal print overload is a big no-no for the interior designer.
Stick to a small amount and never mix and match different prints.
Heavy drapery
You might want to keep the sun out, but simple black-out blinds or curtains works just as well and wont make your home look so outdated.
Fluffy toilet seat covers

If you still have one of these it might be time to give your bathroom a much needed re-vamp.
Fluffy toilet seat covers are not only so impractical and, let’s face it, probably coated dust, but they’ve also been out of style for decades now.
