Hyundai, LG design Ioniq interior with TV, drinks, self-cleaning

With space-saving electric powertrains becoming more common, and the prospect of autonomous driving seeming more possible, many automakers have been considering what a car interior may be like in the future. A common idea is to make it like a living room or like your house, and that’s the take Hyundai and LG Electronics have chosen for this Ioniq interior.

The companies specifically emphasize how this interior is made possible by electric powertrains that offer more packaging flexibility. This is also why it has been branded as an Ioniq interior, since Ioniq will be Hyundai’s EV brand. The interior is spacious and airy, in part thanks to the light colors and large windows. The design is somewhat nifty with the wood floor and ambient lighting, but it’s the gizmos that really set it apart.

Immediately obvious is the TV in the ceiling. It’s a 77-inch flexible OLED LG screen, and

2021 Hyundai HB20 Reimagined With All-New Tucson’s Exterior Design

The i20 is Hyundai’s entry in the subcompact hatchback segment in Europe. Confusingly, a similarly-sized model is marketed as the HB20 in South America.
HB means Hyundai Brazil while 20 is the automaker’s nomenclature for a B-segment passenger car. Last redesigned a year ago, the HB20 has been Photoshopped into a far sexier means of personal transportation by Brazilian pixel artist Kleber Silva. The Tucson makeover gives the econobox a totally different look, but it would be wishful thinking to expect a facelift with these exterior styling cues.

You see, the HB20 is a low-cost car for emerging markets where household income is lower than in the United States of America or Europe. The front fascia of the Tucson as well as the LED taillights and onboard technology would raise the starting price to a level that’s simply unattainable for most B-segment customers.

Next-gen Hyundai Tucson previewed with striking light design, sleek interior

Undoubtedly, the most striking aspect of the Tucson is its lighting. Hyundai calls the lighting “Parametric Hidden Lights.” The hidden part of it are the daytime-running lights in the grille. When the lights are off, you’d have no idea that they’re actual lights, as they blend in seamlessly with the grille. When the lights are on, they’re bold, unique and quite striking. The grille’s general design reminds us of the new Elantra, but the lights take it another step further.

Hyundai says the new Tucson is bigger and wider than the previous model, and it’ll also be offered in different wheelbases depending on the market. Specific U.S. market information wasn’t included in Hyundai’s

scent dispensers in their models. Hyundai’s flagship Palisade SUV seemingly has one, too, but it wasn’t added intentionally, and some owners complain that it smells utterly rank.” data-reactid=”21″Carmakers are increasingly putting scent dispensers in their models. Hyundai’s flagship Palisade SUV seemingly has one, too, but it wasn’t added intentionally, and some owners complain that it smells utterly rank.

Palisade owners have complained about a funky smell. One plainly said the SUV’s seats smell “really bad,” while another compared the odor to that of spicy garlic cabbage, which is oddly specific, though garlic comes up a lot in posts describing the smell. Some originally thought it came from the floor mats, but replacing them didn’t get rid of it. Others believe it’s related to heat (the hotter it gets, the more it stinks), the upholstery, or the
