Here you can download the free Pixelscape: Oceans screensaver application. After you’ve created or downloaded and imported some fresh Pixelscapes, you can use this app to turn them into screensavers. Sure, most people don’t need screensavers anymore, but it’s nice to come back to an idle computer and see a relaxing ocean scene you created doing its fishy business all over your screen…err…maybe not when I put it that way.
Pixelscape: Oceans Screensaver App (v1.5, Oct. 30th, 2016)
- Download the .zip file to your computer anywhere your heart desires
- Unzip the folder into your Steam Pixelscape: Oceans folder. Usually at something like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Pixelscape Oceans
- Right click the Pixelscape Screensaver app and select “Install.” Give it a second or two and it will bring up the Windows screensaver menu.
- Select “Pixelscape Oceans” from the screensaver drop down menu. It’s a more intensive program than a typical screensaver so the scene won’t immediately load (it takes a second or two), but once it does just apply the changes and you’re good to go.
Note: All screensaver setup features are located in the actual Pixelscape: Oceans program. This will let you setup sound/music as well as choosing which of your Pixelscapes to load (or set it to random if you have all 12 save slots filled up).
